Missing Woman’s Body Found in Kızılırmak
The body of a missing 47-year-old woman was found in Kızılırmak, in the Çelebi district of Kırıkkale, after 19 days of searching. The Gendarmerie Search and Rescue (JAK) Team located the body of S.G.Y. near the Çeşnigir Bridge in the Karakeçili district. Authorities took the body to the Kırıkkale Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy. The investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of death.
S.G.Y. had disappeared on September 25th from Karaağıl village. According to family members, she was last seen leaving her home in the evening. Search operations involving the gendarmerie, AFAD, and diving teams were launched in Kızılırmak and surrounding areas. During the investigation, 10 suspects were detained due to suspicion of homicide. Among them, S.G.Y.’s brothers Ş.G. and Y.G., as well as neighbors K.U. and D.G., were arrested.
