Manchester City secured their first Premier League win in three games, beating a resilient Fulham side 3-2. Mateo Kovacic starred with two crucial goals, ensuring City’s unbeaten run at home stretched to 50 games.

Kovacic’s Brilliance

City started strongly but were shocked when Raul Jimenez’s clever backheel set up Andreas Pereira for Fulham’s opening goal. Despite early pressure from Fulham, City responded through Kovacic, who netted twice. His first goal came from a deflected shot after a half-cleared corner, while the second was a clean strike from the edge of the box.

Fulham’s Missed Opportunities

Fulham had their chances, with Adama Traore missing two clear opportunities, both saved by Ederson. Later, Traore’s pace troubled Kyle Walker, but Ederson once again denied him. Fulham kept pushing but failed to capitalize on their chances.

City’s Finishing Touch

Jeremy Doku’s outstanding strike from the left sealed the game for City, although Fulham got one back late on when Rodrigo Muniz found space in the box. Despite their efforts, Fulham couldn’t find the equalizer, and City emerged victorious.

Unbeaten Home Record

With this win, Manchester City became the fourth English top-flight team to remain unbeaten in 50 consecutive home games across all competitions.
