The Tragic End of Sakarya Father Seyfi Birbir

Seyfi Birbir, a resident of Kurtbeyler in Sakarya, became widely known in Turkey after appearing on the popular TV show Müge Anlı ile Tatlı Sert, seeking his long-lost son. Tragically, news broke today that Birbir took his own life, hanging himself in his garden. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.

Conflicting Statements Raised Suspicions

For over three decades, Birbir’s wife, Hacer Çınaroğlu, had been searching for their missing son, Serdar. Birbir’s appearance on Müge Anlı’s show raised questions due to his inconsistent statements. Initially, he claimed he had given his son to another family. Later, he stated he had left him at the İzmit Fair and subsequently asserted that he had been in contact with him for the past 15 years. Despite promising to bring his son to the studio, he appeared alone, deepening doubts among viewers and the show’s team.

Attempted Suicide in a Hotel Room

Throughout the show, Birbir’s conflicting statements and visible distress raised concerns. During his appearance, he attempted suicide in his hotel room by self-inflicting injuries with a sharp object. Rushed to the hospital, he survived thanks to emergency intervention. However, after being discharged, Birbir’s mental health continued to deteriorate, heightening concerns among his family and the public.

Found Dead by Hanging in His Garden

Following his release from the hospital, Birbir continued to exhibit signs of psychological distress. Today, his body was found hanging from a tree in his garden. Medical teams confirmed his death on the scene, and authorities are conducting further investigations. News of his tragic end has brought deep sadness across the nation.
